St James Finchampstead

In conjunction with our sister church of St Mary and St John, California we form the Church of England Parish of Finchampstead and California within the Deanery of Sonning, itself part of the Diocese of Oxford. See here for details on how to find us.

Our aim is to be a place where young or old can come to hear the good news about Jesus; to explore the Christian faith together; and to share with others the fun and excitement of being part of an active church community.

Worship is at the heart of our church life and we have a wide range of forms of worship, as you will see from the Services section under Worship.

Opportunities for age-related or interest-related activities for yourself or your children or for study/teaching can be found under Groups and Courses and our social events are in the Notices or under Events.

In the parish is Finchampstead CE (Aided) Primary School, with which we have close ties.
